One&Only Nyungwe House

One&Only Nyungwe House is a five star property located within the Nyungwe National Park in southern Rwanda. Built to blend in with its surroundings, the House sits in a tea plantation on the edge of the Nyungwe rain forest. The National Park is renowned for its rugged terrain and diverse ecosystem, and is one of the last mountain rainforests remaining. Containing more than 200 different species of trees, 275 different species of bird and 13 species of primate, Nyungwe National Park is a wildlife lover’s paradise.

Accommodation & Facilities
Nyungwe House is made up of 22 luxurious rooms, set within five ‘villas’. Decorated in a smart contemporary style, each room has its own private decking looking over the rainforest, air conditioning, a large flat screen TV, a fireplace, a large safe, a minibar and a private bathroom with a shower and a bath. There are a number of family suites with two en-suite bedrooms and a shared living space. The communal areas comprise modern amenities such as the Tea Lounge, a spacious open sided bar, a library, a restaurant, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and a spa and fitness centre.

Wildlife & Activities
Nyungwe House offers guests a wide range of activities, which include tracking chimpanzees and black and white colobus monkeys, birdwatching, a number of scenic treks in the forest, night walks in the forest, visits to local communities, and tours of the tea plantation. Anyone wishing for relaxation can enjoy the on-site treatment facilities, the pool, picnics, and the fitness centre. Yoga, archery, spear throwing and tours of the House garden are also included.
