Sasaab

Sasaab sits high on a ridge overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River with spectacular views across to Mount Kenya, in the West Gate community conservancy bordering Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp consists of nine large Moroccan style open-sided tents, designed to let the breeze flow through during hot weather. The tents comprise a bedroom, en-suite open-air bathroom, private verandah and a private plunge pool, and one of them has two bedrooms and a shared lounge space to suit a family.  The central mess area offers spectacular views down towards the river and surrounding landscapes. The camp also has a swimming pool perched on the hill overlooking the river where animals often come to drink, and a spa.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities available here include day and night game drives, walking safaris, day trips to Samburu Reserve which is known for its large herds of elephant and the endangered Grevy’s Zebra, quad biking, camel riding and visits to local villages to learn more about life for the local people.  There is also a beautiful spa in which to enjoy some pampering.
