Sausage Tree Camp

Sausage Tree Camp is in a stunning location on the banks of the Zambezi River in the heart of one of Lower Zambezi National Park’s best game viewing areas. The camp overlooks an expanse of narrow channels and low set reed islands teeming with game, with the magnificent Zambezi escarpment as the backdrop. Children of eight years and above are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Sausage Tree Camp comprises seven large, luxurious Bedouin-style tented suites and a two bedroomed family suite known as Kigelia House. These are well spaced along the river bank, allowing elephant to amble in between. The tents are equipped with the essentials along with teak four poster beds, an indoor bathroom and open air shower and private deck with plunge pool and river view.

Kigelia House is the ideal room choice for families. It has two large bedrooms (a double and a twin) both with en-suite bathrooms connected by a huge open plan living area leading to private deck and plunge pool. Both rooms have doors and are totally sealed at night. Kigelia can accommodate a family of four or with an extra child’s bed a total of five.
In addition to Kigelia House the seven luxury suites can each accommodate a family of three (or four on request) with the addition of daybeds to the rooms.  All eight guest rooms have a private plunge pool which is perfect for cooling off in the warmer months and each has steps for children to get in and out.

The central dining and bar area is fronted by a large teak deck, overhanging the Zambezi River and the camp pool is idyllically situated under shading mahogany trees. The pool is a 25m lap pool with a large shallow semi-circle area for children to enjoy.
