Savute Elephant Camp

Savute Elephant Camp is situated in the arid desert of the Kalahari Sandvelt in Botswana’s Chobe National Park. Rain is rare and water extremely precious in this area, and the dry Savute Channel abounds with some of Africa’s largest and most impressive creatures, including the elephant, which reigns supreme here.

Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Savute Elephant Camp is in 12 luxury tents with en-suite facilities, heating and air-conditioning. Each tent has its own private viewing deck, allowing you to rest in comfort, knowing that each day in this elephant country will bring new and unforgettable sights and experiences.

Wildlife & Activities
Game viewing at Savute Elephant Camp, particularly of elephant, is excellent with experienced guides taking vehicles close to herds of impala, giraffe and zebra. Game viewing is by customised 4×4 vehicle but as you are in the National Park night drives are not allowed. From the camp there is the chance to visit early Bushman rock paintings, or alternatively guests can enjoy high quality birding from the camp’s purpose built decks.
