Segera Retreat

Segera Retreat is located in the central Laikipia Plateau in Kenya, just north of the equator. The property offers spectacular views over the African savannah, with snow-capped Mount Kenya sometimes visible in the distance. Home to a vast array of animal, bird and plant life, Segera provides an important corridor for the migration of elephant and other wide-ranging species.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are eight large, stylish and superbly appointed villas, including a private house and a family villa, accommodating up to 20 guests. Each villa is individually decorated and has an en-suite bathroom with shower, private deck with outside Jacuzzi bath and a sundeck with sun loungers and shaded swings. Segera House has its own garden and plunge pool. There are three dining areas, an art gallery with a fine collection of Kenyan work, a shop, a gym, a wellness centre offering a variety of custom spa treatments, salt water swimming pool and a botanical garden. The Nay Palad Bird Nest is a luxurious treehouse or sleep-out platform, set beside the river in a peaceful part of the reserve, which offers a couple or a family the chance for private romance and adventure.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities at Segera include day and night game drives, picnics and sundowners, a variety of hides and lookout points, guided walks, camel walks, overnight sleepouts and cultural visits. Helicopter trips to Mount Kenya and the Great Lakes can be arranged at additional cost.
