Setari Camp

Setari Camp has a secluded location on a private concession of 120,000 acres in the north western part of the Okavango Delta. Not far from the base of the Panhandle, the camp is beautifully hidden in a grove of huge trees on a small island on a vast floodplain, and has been designed to make the most of the wonderful views across the plains.

Accommodation & Facilities

Setari Camp has nine safari tents built on raised decks which are connected to the main lodge by walkways. The tents are tastefully and elegantly furnished, with big bedrooms, plenty of storage and seating, and ensuite bathrooms with inside and outside showers and a bath, as well as spacious shaded viewing decks at the front. One tent has two bedrooms, ideal for a family. The central lodge has a dining room, lounge, bar, a pool, and a gym. There is also plenty of outside space for relaxing with a cool drink, and a camp fire.

Wildlife & Activities

The activities at Setari are primarily focused on exploring the extensive permanent waterways on the concession, with boat cruises and mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips. Walks on islands, fishing, and visits to local communities are also on offer here. The wildlife here is varied, with water loving species such as elephant, buffalo, sitatunga, hippo and crocodile seen, and and the birdwatching is also superb.
