Siwandu

Siwandu Camp has a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Nzerakera in the Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) in Tanzania, part of the largest protected area in Africa. Siwandu is in the peaceful northern section of the reserve in a particularly good wildlife area.

Accommodation & Facilities
Siwandu camp has 13 large safari tents raised on platforms, and with en-suite bathrooms including a ‘star shower’. The tents are beautifully furnished, and spaced well apart to provide complete privacy. The camp has a dining room, lounge and bar with views of the lake, and a library and a pool.

Wildlife & Activities
At Siwandu, guests can choose from walking safaris, boat trips or wildlife drives in an open vehicle. The Rufiji River is a magnet for birds as well as having a high concentration of hippo and crocodile. Wildlife sightings on land, which are especially good between June and October, include wild dog, lion, giraffe and elephant.
