Splash Camp

Splash Camp is laid out among the trees around the edge of a pan, or waterhole, deep inside the Kwara private concession in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. The Kwara concession extends to 175,000 hectares, and has just two other camps within it, which allows guests exclusive and superb wildlife viewing.

Accommodation & Facilities
Splash Camp has 12 tents built on raised wooden decks, to give them good views of the wildlife that comes to the pan year round. Two of the tents have two bedrooms and are perfect for families. The tents have en-suite bathrooms, with inside and outside showers and flush loos, and an outside lounge under a shady canopy. They are decorated in a contemporary style with smart and up to date furniture.  The camp has a mess area which features a large lounge and bar, and a dining room and a fire pit. There is a plunge pool too. Meals are often eaten outside under the stars or a shady tree. Splash Enclave is a great choice for a family or a group of 6 to 10 friends looking for privacy and flexibility. This section of the camp has its own plunge pool, dining area, lounge and bar and a private safari vehicle and guide for activities.

Wildlife & Activities

The Kwara concession has an excellent wildlife population which includes lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, kudu and notably wild dog. The activities on offer include day and night wildlife drives in open vehicles, walking safaris, and if water levels permit, mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips and boat cruises. Catch and release fishing is offered from March to December.
