St Regis Vommuli

Nestled between verdant rainforest and white-sand beaches, the St Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is the epitome of barefoot luxury. Located 45 minutes by seaplane south from Malé International Airport, the resort spans nine hectares in an untouched tropical landscape in the Dhaalu Atoll. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the 33 on-land or 44 over-water villas has picturesque ocean or garden views from private terraces and pools. Whatever style you choose, a relaxing haven awaits with plush furnishings, floor to ceiling glass doors, crisp linens and light, airy interiors designed to complement the beautiful surroundings.

Villas specifically suited to families include the two-bedroom family beach and overwater sleeping up to five (with an extra bed).  The two-bedroom beach villas sleep a maximum of six with the addition of two extra beds. The three-bedroom beach estates can accommodate up to nine people. Maximum occupancy of the three-bedroom overwater estate is ten.
On-land villas are recommended for families with younger children.

There are six distinct dining options offering sophisticated cuisine from around the world. There is also a tennis court and a swimming pool for guests to enjoy. A separate children’s pool is located at the main beach. All the pools have steps and are 1.1m deep.

Eating & Sleeping
Children can eat separately and children’s menus are available. Alba is a particularly family friendly all-day dining restaurant. In addition there is a Crust, a beach front pizzeria, and Craft a lunchtime snack bar. A 24 hour in-villa dining service is also available.

Babysitting can be organised through the children’s club. All children’s club attendants are qualified and certified child care personnel. Babysitting is charged at USD 40.00 (inclusive of taxes and service charge) per hour until 11:00 pm and USD 60.00 (inclusive of taxes and service charge) per hour after 11:00pm.  One babysitter per child is required for children under two.

Activities
For those with a penchant for adventure, there are water sports including parasailing, surfing, water and jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, and sea kayaking. Guests may also charter a yacht for a day-long excursion to watch a pod of dolphins swimming through azure waters, reel in the catch of the day on a deep-sea fishing experience, or relish a sunset cruise for a romantic evening together. Scuba diving and snorkelling among the vibrantly hued sea-life is a must, and a wonderful way to take in the beauty of the Indian Ocean. For younger guests, the children’s club offers an array of activities including cookery, yoga, crafts and painting.

Specifically for children ….
Children from eight years can try the Bubblemaker beginner diving course and waterskiing is available to children aged seven and above. There is age appropriate life jackets and snorkelling kit.
