Sugar Beach

Sugar Beach is spread along an impressive half kilometre stretch of white sand beach on Mauritius’ picturesque west coast, and it’s just an hour’s drive from the international airport and 21 miles south of Port Louis, the capital city.

Accommodation & Facilities
The resort is spread over 12 hectares of beautifully, well maintained tropical gardens with contemporary plantation-style architecture.  Each of the 258 en-suite, air-conditioned rooms is furnished with king-size beds and mahogany furniture in keeping with the resorts colonial styling.  Sugar Beach offers an impressive range of facilities including three restaurants, two swimming pools, a well run kids club, water sports, and an extensive spa and fitness centre.  In addition, the hotel’s sister property, La Pirogue, is located right next door and guests can dine at a further three restaurants here and take advantage of the additional facilities on offer.

Activities
Sugar Beach offers a whole host of land and water based activities that guests can indulge in if they tire of relaxing on the beach or by the pool.  Water sports available include kayaking, laser sailing, glass-bottom boat trips, snorkelling, waterskiing and windsurfing, in addition to tennis on the floodlit courts and numerous fitness classes.  Deep sea fishing, scuba diving, golf, parasailing, full day catamaran cruises and island excursions can also be arranged and paid for locally.
