Tongabezi

Tongabezi is a luxury lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zambia, 20 kilometres upstream from the Victoria Falls and overlooking the Zambezi National Park on the opposite bank.

Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation is in five thatched cottages and six spacious open plan stone and thatch houses, all with en-suite facilities and a view of the river. The cottages have a lounge, spacious bedroom with mosquito net canopy and a private deck area. There is also a Garden House with its own pool, two bedrooms and a private dining room with a fireplace which is ideal for families. All of the houses have distinctive architectural features, large decks, inside showers and outside baths with views over the Zambezi River.  The Nut House is enclosed with large French doors opening onto a private plunge pool, while the Treehouse is open sided, offering uninterrupted views of the river.  Perched on a cliff, The Bird House features a large suspended deck, a claw-footed, open-air bathtub, splash pool and a private terrace for dining under the stars. The immense sliding wood and glass windows allow the sunset and the sounds of the Zambezi River to flow into the room. Each house has a seating area and four-poster double bed. Lodge facilities include a dining, bar and lounge area under thatch, several lounge areas for relaxing, two swimming pools, and a gym.

Wildlife & Activities
Tongabezi is an ideal base for visiting Victoria Falls and offers a wide variety of activities including sunset and sunrise boat trips, bird walks and ‘Livingstone Day’ (Livingstone Museum, markets and lunch by the Falls). White water rafting, helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls, bungee jumps and horse rides are among many other activities that can be arranged at an additional charge.
