Vakona Lodge

Vakona Lodge is an impressive property situated in the heart of Madagascar’s Andasibe (Perinet) Forest, close to Mantadia National park and a couple of hour’s drive to the east of the capital Antananarivo.

The 28 bungalows at Vakona Lodge all have their own en-suite bathroom, and there is a swimming pool, central bar and dining area.

Wildlife & Activities
While staying at Vakona Lodge guests can explore the nearby Andasibe (Perinet) and Mantadia National Parks. Accompanied by your driver and a local guide you can explore these famous reserves on foot, both by night and day, at your own pace. Andasibe National Park is renowned for its variety of diurnal and nocturnal species, and is probably best known for the Indri Indri – the largest member of the lemur family whose eerie call can be heard through the thick canopy of the rainforest at first light.  Horse riding and canoeing are also offered.
