Vamizi is a 12km finger of land just off the coast of Palma in the far north of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique’s northern-most province. The forested interior hosts a wealth of animal and bird species, and the surrounding sea is rich in coral and marine life. Two different species of turtle (hawksbill and green) nest on the island’s beaches.
