Waterberry Woodlands

Waterberry Lodge has a gorgeous river-side setting about 12 miles upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia. The lodge has a secluded position on the banks of the spectacular Zambezi River, and wonderful views of the Zambezi National Park in Zimbabwe on the opposite bank.

Accommodation & Facilities
Waterberry Lodge has three distinct parts to it, with seven thatched cottages at the main Lodge, three tents in the private Woodlands section, and the four bedroom Farmhouse. The cottages are spaced out in the lovely gardens, some on the riverbank, and the others overlooking a small lake which teems with visiting birdlife. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and two of the cottages are perfect for families with second bedrooms. Woodlands has three large en-suite safari tents in a secluded setting amongst the natural forest, and is ideal for a family or keen birdwatchers. Guests staying at the Lodge and Woodlands share the large swimming pool set in the centre of landscaped lawns, as well as a large terrace, dining room, lounge and bar in the main building. The Farmhouse has its own kitchen, dining room and lounge, and a pool in the lawned garden running to the river’s edge.

Wildlife & Activities
Waterberry Lodge is an ideal base for visiting the Victoria Falls and offers a wide variety of activities including sunset and sunrise boat trips and signposted nature trails, which take you around the lake, to see birds, fish and small wildlife. Their floating pontoon is also perfect for sundowners on the Zambezi River, fishing, or just relaxing and enjoying the view. Whitewater rafting, canoeing, horse riding, bungee jumps, and helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls are among many activities that can be arranged for an additional charge.
