Wolwedans Dune Camp

Wolwedans Dune Camp is located on the edge of a 250 metre high dune providing stunning views of the valley below and the Losberg Mountains in the heart of the 200,000 hectare NamibRand Nature Reserve. The reserve is in the Namib Desert, not too far from the Sossusvlei dunes.

Accommodation & Facilities
Wolwedans Dune Camp accommodates 16 people in six comfortable and stylish safari tents and a two bedroom suite, all placed on large wooden platforms. The tents have a spacious veranda allowing for safe sleep-outs under the stars, and a tiny cylindrical plunge pool for cooling off on hot days. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with inside and outside showers and plentiful space for unpacking. The main building is also built on short stilts and comprises an open kitchen where guests can chat to the chef while food is prepared, and intimate dining room and an open-air bar. The lodge also houses a library and lounge.

Wildlife & Activities
Dune Camp guests can explore the vast reserve in a number of ways, including full day desert drives into the deeper regions of the reserve, accompanied by one of Wolwedans’ expert guides, guided walks, picnics in the wild and sun-downers on the dunes, and riding horses or a ‘fat E bike’ with wide tyres for floating over sand. Scenic flights and ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
