Eating & Sleeping
Guests eat together at Wolwedans and although there isn’t a children’s menu, child friendly meals are available on request.
There are no formal childcare services so parents need to be responsible for children at all times. Many guests at the camp come to enjoy the silence and tranquillity of a remote desert location so it is kindly requested that children do not disturb other guests and are well behaved in the lounge and dining areas.
Wildlife & Activities
Dune Camp guests can explore the vast reserve in a number of ways, including full day desert drives into the deeper regions of the reserve, accompanied by one of Wolwedans’ expert guides, guided walks, picnics in the wild and sun-downers on the dunes, and riding horses or a ‘fat E bike’ with wide tyres for floating over sand. Scenic flights and ballooning can be arrangedatan extra cost.
Specifically for children …
Wolwedans has a strong reputation for hosting families and there are lots of camp staff who are great with children. Activities to keep the children entertained and engaged are planned with the family when they arrive into camp.
