Wolwedans Plains Camp

Wolwedans Plains Camp has a wonderful setting in a wide and quiet valley in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Namibia, and at the foot of the dramatic Losberg mountain. With a 100km border with the Namib Naukluft National Park, NamibRand is 200,000 hectares of some of Namibia’s most spectacular and pristine scenery and habitats.

Accommodation & Facilities
Wolwedans Plains Camp is an exclusive use camp, ideal for up to eight family or friends, or honeymooners seeking total privacy. With its own private butler, chef and guide guests are completely self-contained, giving them the chance to relax, in a home from home atmosphere. The camp has four en-suite bedrooms (two master and two standard), various decks for relaxing on, a small pool, and a central lodge which comprises a study, sitting room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The camp has a waterhole in front, to which wildlife such as oryx and Hartmann’s mountain zebra often come to drink.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests at Wolwedans Plains Camp are encouraged to go on full day desert drives into the reserve accompanied by a superb guide. Guided walks in the area, and enjoy picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes, and riding an electric ‘fat’ bike on extra wide tyres are also great ways to explore this spectacular wilderness. Scenic flights and ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
