Zanzibar Palace

Zanzibar Palace is a charming hotel that used to be an old Arab’s Palace, located right in the heart of Stone Town. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
The hotel is built around a small courtyard, and has three different types of rooms on three floors. The nine en-suite rooms have all been individually designed using various themes from Zanzibar’s rich cultural history, and much of the furniture is locally sourced Zanzibari antiques. Some of the rooms also have balconies affording views over Stone Town.
Families are accommodated in different ways depending on size and ages of children. The Kijani and Shaba suites both have a double bed and one wide single bed. An extra child’s bed can be added to sleep two adults and two children in total. The Sherali suite has one double bed and there is space for an additional two single beds to be added to the room to sleep a maximum of two adults and two children. For larger families, of families with older children, suites next door to each other can be booked.

Eating & Sleeping
The restaurant is open for breakfast between 08:00 – 10:00 and from 18:00 for dinner. The chefs are happy to prepare children’s food on request. With advance notice babysitting can be organised and is undertaken by housekeeping staff. The cost is US$10 for the first hour and US$5 per hour thereafter.
