Zuri Zanzibar

Zuri Zanzibar is located on the northwest coast of Zanzibar, on a beautiful west facing white sandy beach.  The property is scattered across 32 acres and on a hillside with spectacular sunset views, overlooking Tambatu Island.

Accommodation & Facilities
Zuri Zanzibar has 56 rooms, including bungalows, suites, and beach villas, and a Garden Villa with two bedrooms, a private garden and a large outside entertainment space. Many of the rooms overlook the beach and the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, while the remainder are located within the tropical gardens, and offer partial sea views. All of the rooms have air conditioning, ‘Evening Breeze’ cooling over the beds, en-suite bathrooms, outside showers, and terraces. The hotel has three restaurants and four bars, including by the pool and on the beach. The food is excellent and uses fresh ingredients from the island and a fusion of African, European, Arabic and Indian influences. There is also a large pool, a spa, wellness and yoga area, water-sports and dive centre, and an outdoor gym.

Activities
Zuri Zanzibar has a 300m section of private west-facing beach, from which it is possible to swim throughout the day.  The infinity pool has beautiful views of the beach and the ocean.  In addition to the watersports on offer, which include kayaking, snorkelling trips, dhow cruises, visits to Tambatu Island, wind-surfing , SUPs, and diving, there is a mature spice garden covering two and a half acres, which is a lovely place to walk or relax in one of the private pods.  Guests can take Swahili cooking classes with one of the hotel’s chefs here.  Day trips to Stone Town and Jozani Forest can be arranged locally.
