Tswalu Loapi Tented Camp

Tswalu Loapi Tented Camp is a luxurious and exclusive tented camp located in the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve in South Africa. This private wildlife reserve spans over 460 square miles on the edge of the Kalahari desert, making it one of the largest privately owned wildlife reserves in the country. Loapi Tented Camp is situated at the foot of the Korannaberg mountains, offering breathtaking views of the open savannah grasslands that surround it.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp features six individual one and two bedroom exclusive use glass and canvas safari homes, which operate as private villas. They are sustainably designed and environmentally sensitive, with deep, shaded decks, environmentally friendly plunge pools, and fire pits for sundowners and early morning coffee. The bedrooms are cocoon-like sanctuaries under canvas, providing exceptional comfort and insulation from the Kalahari’s extreme temperatures. The villas provide personal service from dedicated butlers and chefs, and a private safari vehicle, guide, and tracker. In-room spa treatments are also available.

Wildlife & Activities
Tswalu Loapi offers a range of activities including guided walks across the vast silent red dunes, private day and night wildlife drives in open safari vehicles, birdwatching, stargazing, rhino tracking, horse riding, walks to find ancient rock art sites, and visits to the habituated meerkat dens of Tswalu. Guests can also enjoy exciting sleep outs under the Kalahari stars, and dinner at the amazing Boscia Restaurant is included in stays of two nights or more. The lodge provides guests with a unique opportunity to explore the breathtaking natural beauty of the Kalahari while enjoying luxury and privacy.
