Your base for chimp tracking, game drives and boating is Kyambura Lodge, perched above the gorge at the edge of QEII National Park. The eight room luxury lodge has stunning views over the gorge and the lush savannah, with peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Further south, Volcanoes Lodge is on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, on a hillside above a river, overlooking lush rainforest opposite. It is the perfect starting point for visits to the national park and gorilla tracking, in an area which is home to half the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. Among the holiday highlights are:

  • Gorilla tracking and nature walks in the vast Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
  • Experience the excitement of game drives in QEII National Park
  • Visit the chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge, and watch them swing overhead
  • Observe the unusual behaviour of Ishasha’s tree climbing lions
  • Luxury lodge accommodation
  • Experienced guides to tell you all about this wonderful country, its wildlife and people

You can see full details here Uganda Safari Itinerary PDF Note that the minimum age for gorilla tracking is 15 years and international flights are not included. If you would like to turn this into a longer safari holiday we would be delighted to suggest various options.  The trip would combine particularly well with time in Rwanda or other areas of East Africa, such as Kenya or Tanzania.
