La Varangue

La Varangue is one of the best hotels in Antananarivo and with only nine rooms, has a lovely intimate atmosphere. It’s on a very quiet hilltop close to the administrative centre of the city, not far from the presidential palace.

Accommodations and Facilities
The attractively decorated en-suite rooms at La Varangue are light and spacious and come with a TV, a Mini bar, and a safe.  Superb French cuisine, prepared by Madagascar’s finest chef, is a real draw here.  Guests have the choice of eating outside on the verandah or in the dining room.  The hotel interior is filled to the brim with lots of historical artefacts and there’s a small bar area with a computer for guests to use.

The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport and makes for a lovely overnight stop in the capital.
