Cycling Safari

A cycle safari is an exciting and unique way to experience wildlife and nature

Cycling offers a slower and more immersive way to explore the surroundings compared to traditional vehicle-based safaris. Participants can stop, observe, and truly connect with the environment around them.

Knowledgeable guides lead you on your cycling safari adventure, sharing insights about the landscapes, wildlife behaviour, and local culture. They prioritise safety and ensure you make the most of your journey.

One of the most exciting aspects of a cycling safari is the chance to spot wildlife up close. Imagine pedalling quietly along a trail and coming across a group of elephants or giraffes grazing nearby. It’s a unique and intimate way to observe Africa’s iconic animals in their natural habitat.

After a day of cycling, you’ll relax in comfortable lodges and camps. These lodgings often blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, enhancing your connection to the environment.

From the thrill of cycling alongside wildlife to the breathtaking sunsets over the savannah, every moment of your holiday promises to be a memory worth cherishing.

Travel Tips

  • Be honest about your riding ability, then the guide can ensure you have the best time and plan the days accordingly.

  • Bring your own cycling gear (helmet, shirt/pants, shoes/cleats, gloves, glasses etc), a tool set, small binoculars, a hydration backpack.

  • You will need comprehensive travel insurance including cover for a medical evacuation and repatriation. This is compulsory.

  • Take sunhats, sun-block and pack a fleece / windproof too – Africa can be cooler than you might expect.
