Pole Pole

Pole Pole is situated in The Mafia Island Marine Park which is one of the most significant marine eco-systems in the world, with over 400 species of fish. On the island the vegetation is dominated by large palm groves, baobabs, mangroves and fruit trees.

Accommodation & Facilities
Pole Pole is set in a breezy spot overlooking Chole Bay and other islands of the archipelago. The lodge has five bandas and two family bandas each with a large verandah and a good views. The decor is ethnically inspired and each has a spacious ensuite bathroom. The service is relaxed and very personal, with first class cuisine, based on seafood, including many different culinary traditions with an Indian touch.

Wildlife & Activities
Daily activities include boat trips to the coral reefs and white sandy banks, snorkelling, island excursions to old Arab ruins and local villages.  The snorkelling and diving are excellent, with the bays and lagoons providing a paradise for both experts and beginners alike. There is also a lovely pool by which to relax and a small spa.
