Relais de la Reine

Relais de la Reine is cleverly hidden among amazing rocks on the southern boundary of Isalo National Park on Madagascar.  It is 240km from Tulear in the south west of the island and close to the rock structure of a crowned queen from which it takes its name.

Accommodation & Facilities
The 30 rooms at Relais de la Reine are arranged in sixes in single storey buildings around a courtyard. Each room has en-suite facilities and its own verandah. There is a pool next to the main building, which houses the dining room and bar.

Wildlife & Activities
Guided walks can be arranged from Relais de la Reine in the picturesque Isalo National Park. Visits to the Canyon des Singes and Canyon des Rats, which are cut into the sandstone landscape, are highlights. The national park is impressive because of both the beautiful colours and sculpturing of the eroded terrain and the sweeping panoramas this landscape offers. The hotel has horses, and rides or hikes can be organised in the surrounding countryside.
