Sapi Springs Camp

Sapi Springs Camp sits on the river bank above a spring in the Sapi River, well hidden in a grove of enormous red mahogany trees and strangler figs. The camp has a wonderfully remote and peaceful setting in the Sapi Reserve, which is 120,000 hectares of spectacular wilderness in north-eastern Zimbabwe adjacent to Mana Pools.

Accommodation & Facilities

Sapi Springs Camp has an open air design, with three tree-house ‘star bed’ platforms to allow guests the ultimate wild Africa experience, sleeping under mosquito net with just the stars and the trees above. The tree houses have a downstairs level, which has a bathroom and an enclosed bedroom for guests who would prefer it. The camp has a platform built over the edge of the river bank, which has a dining table and sofas. Meals are cooked in a simple camp kitchen or on a barbecue.

Wildlife and Activities

The Sapi Reserve has excellent wildlife which includes lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, hyena, hippo, crocodile, kudu, nyala, waterbuck and impala. The birdlife is also outstanding thanks to the amazing variety of habitats and vegetation. As well as armchair safaris at the spring, guests can enjoy walking safaris and drives in open vehicles here.
