La Cotte Farm

La Cotte Farm is one of the oldest Huguenot estates on the outskirts of the charming town of Franschhoek in South Africa’s winelands. Dating from 1698, the Farm has fantastic 360-degree views of the vineyards, valley and surrounding mountains, and offers accommodation in a number of buildings spaced out in the gardens.

Accommodation & Facilities
The Manor House at the heart of the property has a spacious kitchen and living room, and four stylishly decorated en-suite bedrooms. Surrounding the nearby heated outdoor pool are the two bedroom Pool House and the four Pool Rooms. The Lake Cottage and Main House is a private villa with four en-suite bedrooms accommodating up to 10 guests. It has a lovely terrace area that overlooks a pretty dam, and its own garden and heated swimming pool with a pool house. The 10 Orchard Cottages and nine Forest Cottages are one, two and three bedroom properties with their own private plunge pools, and are located around the edge of the estate. The Farm has a restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch and a bar that opens on Friday and Saturday evenings only.

Activities
Still a working vineyard, La Cotte Farm is within easy reach of the centre of Franschhoek, which is home to some of South Africa’s finest restaurants, art galleries and wine cellars, and a number of world renowned vineyards. There is plenty to explore nearby, with walking, golf courses, mountain biking and horse riding, and the Wine Tram for sampling several vineyards in a day.
