La Clé des Montagnes

La Clé des Montagnes comprises four villas and a lodge set amid vineyards and orchards just a five minute walk from the heart of Franschhoek. It certainly lives up to its name ‘the key to the mountains’, making the most of the picturesque mountain and valley scenery of the area.

La Clé Lodge is a beautiful thatch farmhouse restored to a pretty country lodge with five en-suite bedrooms and can be taken on an exclusive or room by room basis.  Grange Villa is an historic village barn which has been converted to house three en-suite bedrooms and an open loft area that is perfect for children when taken on an exclusive basis.  Manoir Villa has been crafted in a beautiful old farmhouse and with just two bedrooms is ideal for a family.  Galerie Villa overlooks a private garden and has one of the best verandahs at the property with expansive views of the vineyards and mountains. With two bedrooms it’s a great escape for two couples travelling together. Domain Villa, once a chicken coop, is now a stylish four bedroom villa much loved by extended families or groups of friends.   The beautifully decorated villas all enjoy spacious living areas, pretty gardens, and swimming pools.

Activities
La Clé des Montagnes is a perfect spot from which to enjoy all on offer in the beautiful Cape Winelands.  Guests can soak up the valley atmosphere, go mountain biking or hiking, visit art galleries, sample the local wines and markets and generally experience the lifestyle of Franschhoek.
