Anna of Zanzibar

With only five luxury villas, Anna of Zanzibar offers guests exclusivity and privacy in a stunning location on the white beaches of the east coast of Zanzibar. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
All areas of Anna of Zanzibar are designed with colonial simplicity in mind. The main area comprising a dining area, bar, lounge and library, is built in traditional Zanzibari style and beautifully decorated. The five villas are situated within a well maintained garden looking out across the Indian Ocean. Each villa has a master bedroom and a living room. Up to three extra beds can be added in the living room for children under 16 years.   There is a small spa offering massages and spa treatments. The swimming pool has steps and a shallow end.

Eating & Sleeping
Meals are served in any number of locations; on the beach, in the tropical gardens, by the pool or on the large open veranda. Children can have separate meal times and the kitchen can accommodate children’s food preferences including fish fingers, hamburgers, pasta etc. Babysitting is available and is normally provided by the owner’s children’s nanny at a cost of US$ 20 per evening.

Activities
Activities are predominantly centred in the ocean with kite surfing, scuba diving and deep sea fishing facilities available locally. Within the interior of Zanzibar, guests can explore the World Heritage site of Stone Town, or visit the exotic spice farms. However, nothing beats relaxing and enjoying the solitude of miles of beautiful tropical beach.

Specifically for children…..
The staff enjoy having children to stay and the owners have two young children of their own. There are many excursions and activities suitable for families including:
• Trips to Josani Forest to see the red colobus monkeys.
• Fascinating tours of local spice plantations to discover Zanzibar’s spice history.
• Diving.
• Snorkelling.
• Dhow Cruises are also family favourites and life jackets in children’s sizes are available.
