Breezes Beach Club and Spa
Set amongst lush tropical gardens Breezes Beach Club fronts onto a beautiful white beach on the east coast of Zanzibar and only an hour from Stone Town. Children of all ages are welcome.
Accommodation & Facilities
Breezes Beach Club has a total of 74 rooms split into standard, deluxe and suite categories, each of which comfortably accommodates a double bed a sofa bed and a single bed for up to two adults and two children. Eight of the deluxe rooms interconnect, sharing a porch; an excellent option for parents wanting children close, but not in the same room as them. There are also two family villas, perfect for larger families, which comprise of two bedrooms and a lounge.
All of the rooms are comfortably furnished and have en-suite facilities, with the deluxe and suite rooms being located closer to the beach, while the standard rooms and family villas have garden views. The rooms are linked to the main building by pathways through the well maintained gardens, where you will find four restaurants and three bars. In the tropical gardens is the spa, which offers a world-class selection of facilities, health and beauty treatments, and a lovely pool which is very child friendly with steps, a shallow end and sloping bottom.
Eating & Sleeping
Chefs are very used to catering to children of all ages. Children’s meals are served at any time, designed according to their dietary requirements. Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
Babysitting is offered by the staff members from the Kids Club or housekeeping team. The cost is US$30 for the first 2 hours and US$10 for any additional hours.
Activities
There is a fitness centre and floodlit tennis court. Water based activities, including an onsite PADI scuba diving centre, windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking are available but you may choose to simply relax at this beautiful beach or by the pool.
Specifically for children ……
A dedicated Kids Club is available during school holidays, at Easter and during the festive season. Children below four years of age must be accompanied with at least one parent or guardian for all activities. The watersports team is trained on how to interact safely with kids and how to instruct children to use their equipment in a safe way. Life jackets and reef shoes are available in children’s sizes.
Activities include:
• Snorkelling.
• Beach bikes.
• Beach football and volleyball.
• Guided marine walks in low tide to identify different types of marine life, shell hunting and treasure hunting games.
• Warrior face painting.
• Card and board games among others.
• Kids cooking classes using local products.
• Palm weaving, henna and hair braiding with the parents consent.
