Emerson Spice

Located in the heart of Zanzibar’s Stone Town, Emerson Spice is a lovely boutique hotel recently been opened by Emerson Skeens, formerly of Emerson and Green. The hotel, which opened in June 2011, is housed in a charming old building. The owners have effortlessly retained the property’s character whilst also providing a haven for guests.

Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the 11 rooms at Emerson Spice has been individually decorated in Zanzibari style with many period pieces and all are slightly different ensuring that the whole property has a delightfully fun and quirky feel. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and a bath, as well as fans, air-conditioning and balconies. There is a rooftop restaurant and bar that affords magnificent views over the town, while lunch is served in the courtyard on the ground floor.

Activities
Due to its location Emerson Spice is ideally situated for exploring the small streets, spice markets, sights and attractions that Stone Town has to offer. As with most hotels in Stone Town, please note that Emerson Spice does not have a swimming pool.
