Entamanu Private

Entamanu Private has a spectacular setting on the north-western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, with views into both the Crater itself and the Serengeti. When taken on an exclusive basis children from five years and up are welcomed, if booked as a shared camp the minimum age for children is eight years.

Accommodation & Facilities
Designed to make the most of the views of the Crater, Entamanu Private comprises four rooms built from canvas stretched over a timber frame with glass windows and a thatch-over-tin roof. The cosy rooms have heaters, and en-suite bathrooms with showers and flush loos. There are two family units, each with two en-suite bedrooms.  An extra single bed can be added on request (maximum capacity six guests in a family suite).

The lodge has a spacious dining room, bar and lounge, and plenty of space to relax outside on shaded verandahs. The decor is contemporary with a quirky Tanzanian twist, and pays homage to the cattle-focused culture of the Masai people.

Eating & Sleeping
If the lodge is taken on an exclusive basis children can have separate mealtimes. Specific dietary requests can be accommodated with prior warning. There is no organised babysitting service but children can use the lodge sitting room while parents have their supper next door.

Wildlife & Activities
Entamanu Private offers day drives into the Ngorongoro Crater, walks along the Crater rim, and visits to the local Masai communities.

Specifically for children …
There are no specific activities for children but all the guides are experienced at guiding families and will make sure the safari activities are fun for all ages. Children must be over 12 years if they want to join a walking safari.
