Kirkman’s Kamp

Kirkman’s Kamp is located beside the Sand River, in the wildlife rich Sabi Sand Game Reserve region of South Africa, which has unfenced boundaries with the Kruger National Park.

Accommodation & Facilities
Based around a 1920’s lowveld homestead, Kirkman’s Kamp has 12 cottages, which have large air conditioned bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms complete with full size bath tub and shower, and private verandahs. Surrounded by well-tended lawns, the original homestead has a sitting room, dining room, a bar and an historic library, and many items of original artwork and beautiful antique furniture. There is a large infinity pool on the lawn and a tennis court too.

Wildlife & Activities
Wildlife viewing at Kirkman’s Kamp is primarily on day and night drives in open topped safari vehicles in the company of expert local guides. This region of South Africa is home to a huge variety of wildlife, including lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. In addition, wild dog, giraffe, hyena and a large variety of birdlife can be seen. Walking safaris are also offered, subject to local conditions, and guests are welcome visitors at the nearby communities supported by the lodge
