Siruai Expedition Camp

Siruai Expedition Camp is based on a 43,000 acre private ranch in North West Laikipia with spectacular scenery and dramatic escarpments. The camp has a vantage point overlooking the Ewaso Narok River with sweeping views to Mount Kenya and the Loldaiga and Lentille Hills.

Accommodation & Facilities

This exclusive camp is hosted by Tanya and Mikey Carr-Hartley, owners of the Safari Collection, and provides a warm, authentic old-style safari camp atmosphere. The camp has a maximum of eight tents for up to 16 guests, and is set up specifically for each booking. The tents are set up a good distance apart on the hillside below the mess tent, and are simple but comfortable, with flush loos and bucket showers. The mess tent consists of a dining and lounge area plus the all-important bar. Food is freshly prepared and delicious, and often served outside.

Wildlife & Activities

The valleys, escarpments, woodlands, waterfalls, rivers and grasslands at Suyian offer plenty of scope for adventure, and the resident wildlife includes elephant, reticulated giraffe, ostrich, hippo, Grevy’s zebra, buffalo, lion, oryx, gerenuk,  and occasional wild dog, leopard and cheetah.  The activities on offer include wildlife drives, walking safaris, swimming, playing in waterfalls, rock jumping, hiking up escarpments, checking out ancient rock paintings and enjoying meals and sundowners out in the bush. You can also spend a night fly camping here in a spectacular spot atop a rock kopje with beautiful views of the sunrise (must be pre-booked).
