Machangulo Beach Lodge

Machangulo Beach Lodge sits on the side of a large forested dune on the eastern side of Maputo Bay in Mozambique, overlooking the channel between the mainland and Inhaca Island. The position offers shelter from the open ocean, and excellent views into the bay and out to sea.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are 10 tastefully designed timber rooms at Machangulo, perched on the hillside and all with ocean views. The rooms are all air conditioned, and have spacious en-suite bathrooms, as well as plenty of space inside and out for relaxing. Some rooms have their own plunge pools, and the lodge has a large central pool for all guests to share, as well as a spa that offers a variety of treatments and massages. The lodge has a big inside dining room, and meals can also be eaten on the terrace around the pool.

Wildlife & Activities
The activities that can be arranged at Machangulo include fishing, snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, dhow cruises, island picnics, and diving from the fully equipped PADI centre. Picnics on the beach, birdwatching and visits to local communities are also on offer.
