Mozambique is go!

Mozambique is go!

Mozambique stretches from its northern border with Tanzania to its southern with South Africa. To its east is the Indian Ocean and the country boasts incredible beaches and marine wildlife all along its coast.

It’s the south around Vilanculos that offers relatively easy access to the country’s own mainland coastline and that of Benguerra Island just offshore.

Close to town
One of our favourites is Bahia Mar, overlooking the ocean, on the outskirts of the small fishing town of Vilanculos. Easy to get to and enjoyed by families.

Heading north
A few miles to the north of the town, on its own private stretch of beach, Santorini Mozambique enjoys a spectacular position with great views of the ocean and Vilanculos Bay.

Offshore on the island
Benguerra Island Lodge sits on the seven by three mile island of the same name and looks west back across to the mainland. Its thatched rooms have day beds and individual pools and work well after a safari, or as a destination in their own right.
