La Pirogue

La Pirogue is set amongst vast tropical gardens spread along a stunning white sand beach on Mauritius’ west coast, and it’s just 21 miles south of the capital city Port Louis and about an hour’s drive from the international airport.

Accommodation & Facilities
The hotel is built in the style of a fisherman’s village with authentic and comfortable thatched stone cottages scattered throughout the 14 hectare palm and hibiscus filled gardens.  Each of the 248 rooms offers en-suite accommodation with air conditioning.  La Pirogue boasts a superb range of facilities including a large swimming pool, three restaurants, water sports and a kids club but also shares facilities with its sister hotel Sugar Beach located next door ‘ this gives the choice of a further three restaurants together with a spa and gym.

Activities
Guests at La Pirogue can relax in the tranquil gardens, on the beach or by the pool.  There are also tennis courts and mountain biking to enjoy, as well as a variety of watersports including water skiing, snorkelling, windsurfing, laser and hobie-cat sailing and glass bottom boat tours.  Deep sea fishing, scuba diving, golf, and island excursions can also be arranged and paid for locally.
