Klein’s Camp

Klein’s Camp is situated in a 25,000 acre private concession bordering the north eastern corner of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The lodge is perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills with panoramic views over miles and miles of remote African wilderness.

Accommodation & Facilities
With just ten cottages and no other vehicles for miles around, Klein’s Camp is a really private safari destination. The cottages are built from local rock and makuti thatch with classic interiors reminiscent of the distant days of safari exploration. Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom and private veranda with breathtaking views over the surrounding hills and the valley below.  The family suite consists of two spacious cottages connected by a protected walkway which allows easy access between the cottages while maintaining complete privacy. The family cottage can accommodate up to two adults and two children (three children can be accommodated on special request). The camp also has an elegant lounge and dining area, safari shop and a swimming pool which is an excellent place to relax.

Eating & Sleeping
The chefs are happy to prepare any foods that children enjoy (e.g. pizza, hamburgers, chicken strips, etc.) at times to suit and will discuss children’s dietary preferences with parents on arrival. Specific dietary requests can be accommodated with prior notice. Babysitting is available and provided by the housekeeping staff at US$5/hour to be booked on arrival at the lodge.

Wildlife & Activities
During a stay at Klein’s Camp, guests can take day time game drives in open Land Rovers within the private concession or into the Serengeti National Park. Night game drives into the concession in search of nocturnal creatures, as well as guided bush walks in this area, are led by expert guides. Massages and visits to local Masai villages can also be arranged and paid for locally.
