Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa

The five star Shandrani Resort & Spa is set in 70 acres of gardens just a short drive from the airport. The hotel is spread over a private peninsula and has three stunning beaches for guests to choose from. The main areas comprise large open spaces where thatch, wood and stone blend harmoniously into the tropical surroundings.

Accommodation & Facilities
Each of the comfortable 327 rooms is sea facing, with air conditioning and en-suite facilities. None is more than a short stroll from the beach through the award winning gardens. For families there is a wide range of room types all of which are sea facing. These include interconnecting rooms, family apartments and family suites. There are two pools and each has an adjacent children’s pool. The main pool is 1.2m deep and the kid’s pool is 30cm deep.

Eating & Sleeping
Lunch is served in the main restaurant from 12.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm. Children can also eat with their friends at the Kids Club in which case all the children come to the buffet accompanied by the Kids Club entertainers. Children can choose from the buffet or order from the children’s menu if they wish. The children’s menu offers children’s favourites such as chips, nuggets, fish fingers, burgers etc.

Babysitters are available and can be booked via the Kids Club. Babysitting is outsourced to a local company and 24 hours  notice is required. Babysitting rates are Rs 200 per hour per child plus transport costs.

Activities
There are four restaurants on site, a wellness and sports centre, and mini-club. Apart from relaxing by the pool or on the glorious beaches, guests at Shandrani can choose from a number of activities including sailing, golf, water skiing, snorkelling, excursions in the nearby forests and to island picnic spots.

Specifically for children …
There is a complimentary Kids Club reserved for children aged three to 12 years, and open from 9am – 4.30pm and 6pm – 11pm where a team of professionals keep the little ones entertained. The Kids Club organises several activities (with age appropriate kit supplied) for the children including:
