Singita Sasakwa Lodge

Singita Sasakwa Lodge is situated on top of Sasakwa Hill in the 350,000 acres Singita Grumeti Reserves, adjacent to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti. The glorious hill top setting affords quite incredible views across the rolling Serengeti plains. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Singita Sasakwa resembles a turn of the century East African ranch house and is decorated in lavish style. The ten individual stone cottages range in size from one to four bedrooms. The private Hillside Suite is a romantic villa with one bedroom and a lounge in a two storey building, with its own butler, safari vehicle and guide. The elegant interiors have been decorated with Venetian mirrors and crystal chandeliers, African art and leather armchairs. Each room has a spacious en-suite bathroom and dressing room. Cooled by air conditioning in the summer and warmed by fires in the cool winter evenings the rooms are extremely comfortable year-round. Outside, each has a heated infinity plunge pool (with steps), verandah and Swarovski spotting telescope.

The main house includes a smart dining room, bar, garden room, family television room, library, wood-panelled billiards room and wine cellar. For energetic guests, Sasakwa also has two tennis courts, a gym, spa, heated infinity pool with shallow end and Jacuzzi.

Eating & Sleeping
Mealtimes are flexible and it is not unusual for children to eat earlier than the rest of their group. A children’s menu is available with dishes including pasta, pizza, vegetables and rice, chicken fingers, hamburgers, etc.  Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

There is no formal childcare but with prior warning, if there is a spa lady or housekeeper available they can sit with the child in the room to play games, watch TV etc. Please note, these staff are not trained babysitters and do not have first aid qualifications.

Wildlife & Activities
Safari activities include wildlife drives and walks for over 16s in the company of expert guides. Among other activities are star gazing safaris, croquet and archery, and visits to local communities.
