Galton House

Galton House is a lovely guesthouse in Windhoek. Named after the famous explorer Sir Francis Galton, it has a relaxed but efficient style which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. A mere ten minute drive from the town centre and perched on the edge of Windhoek’s affluent suburb of Eros, guests here can be sure of a peaceful stay.

Accommodation & Facilities
The nine rooms are all equipped with internet connectivity and satellite television, with coffee and tea available on request. There are two family friendly rooming options here. For families of three there is a family room with a large bed for parents and an additional single bed in the room for a child. The second option is for a family of four and is two interleading bedrooms. The communal areas consist of a large lounge, dining room, swimming pool with shallow end and steps and garden. There is also delightful al-fresco dining area by the pool, where freshly prepared and very tasty meals are served.

Eating & Sleeping
Dinners normally start at 1900 but earlier dinners can be arranged.  There are no childcare or babysitting facilities.

Activities
There are a number of shops, restaurants and supermarkets within easy reach. Galton House is ideally located for an overnight stopover in Windhoek, before or after your safari.

Specifically for children ….
All the staff are child friendly and experienced at hosting family guests.
