Namib Desert Lodge

Namib Desert Lodge sits at the foot of ancient red sand dunes in the Namib Desert sand sea near Sossusvlei in the world’s oldest desert, the vast Namib.

Accommodation & Facilities
Namib Desert Lodge has 66 rooms in cottages spread out in the gardens below the dunes. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, a safe and a kettle, and an outside terrace. The lodge has two pools and a large main building with a restaurant, bar and lounge. Meals and drinks can also be enjoyed outside in the gardens and on the terraces by the pools.

Experience & Activities
Namib Desert Lodge offers guided half-day excursions to the highest dunes on Earth at Sossusvlei, and the chance to explore the red dunes on the plateau, night walks to look for scorpions which glow under UV light, electrical bicycle riding, and walks. It is a great base for enjoying so much that is unique to this ancient landscape.
