Omaanda

Omaanda is a small safari lodge located on 9,000 hectares of privately-owned land in the Zannier Reserve, just 30-minute from Windhoek Airport.

Accommodation & Facilities
Omaanda has eight one-bedroom huts and two, two-bedroom huts, ideal for families. Each hut has a private terrace with views of the Khomas Hochland, and an en-suite bathroom, flat screen television, wi-fi, sound system and air conditioning. The rooms are built in traditional Namibian style with thatched roofs and earthy tones, and they blend into the wilderness comfortably. The lodge has an infinity pool, a restaurant serving excellent local food, a bar, and a lounge.

Experiences & Activities
Wildlife drives in the morning and evening are a great way to see rhino, leopard and elephant, cheetah, giraffe, kudu and springbok which all live here. Keen birders can take a guided nature walk, and cat enthusiasts can go on a cheetah walk to see habituated cats at the nearby sanctuary. Private rhino, elephant and carnivore tracking tours can also be arranged as well as a ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour that visits the research centre and Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary and sees vets working first-hand to take care of endangered animals as well as meeting the team in the anti-poaching unit.
