Wolwedans Mountain View Suite

Wolwedans Mountain View Suite is perched on top of a sand dune in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Namibia. It is about an hour and a half’s drive from the entrance to the Sossusvlei dunes and oriented to enjoy an expansive view down the valley to the mountains in the distance. The Suite is located within walking distance from Wolwedans Desert Lodge, and guests at the suite can join meals and drinks at the lodge if they wish. However the suite operates as an exclusive use property with its own vehicle, guide and chef, so you are welcome to simply stay within your own private universe.

Accommodation & Facilities
The suite has a spacious en-suite bedroom leading onto a pool deck and sala. The space enables guests to enjoy the view of the valley to its fullest and the addition of an igloo tent on the deck or temporary beds in the lounge area means it can also accommodate two children if desired. The suite also has a private lounge, a dining area and fire-pit, plus an outside bathroom, together with a sleep-out deck and a plunge pool. The main verandah has a ‘star-gazing’ bed, which provides a wonderful sleep-out venue during summer.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests at Wolwedans Mountain View Suite are encouraged to go on full day desert drives into the reserve in their own private vehicle accompanied by a superb guide. Guided walks in the area, picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes, and riding an electric ‘fat’ bike on extra wide tyres are also great ways to explore this spectacular wilderness. Scenic flights and ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
