Ntemwa-Busanga Camp

Ntemwa-Busanga Camp is Jeffery and McKeith’s new seasonal ‘fly-camp’ on the southern edge of the Busanga Plain and a sister camp to their Musekese Camp a few hours further south. This is a very simple camp in a remote area of the park, offering the chance to explore one of the last truly untouched and unexplored wilderness areas of Africa.

Accommodation & Facilities

The camp has just four rustic tents, offering an intimate, back to basics experience. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with bucket showers and flushing toilets. The main area overlooks the endless Busanga Plains where elephant, puku, baboons, wildebeest and zebra can sometimes be seen, along with plentiful and varied birdlife.

Wildlife & Activities

You will be guided on your safari by Tyrone McKeith or Phil Jeffery, whose passion and knowledge are a key part of this camp’s success. Safaris are vehicle based, allowing you to explore further afield from camp, seeing as much of the varied landscapes here as possible. Habitats range from wide open savannahs to riparian, mopani and miombo woodland and this is a good area for unusual sightings such as red lechwe and roan antelope. There are good numbers of lion, leopard and wild dogs, along with endemic and rare birds including African finfoot, rosy throated longclaw and Pel’s fishing owl.
