Leroo La Tau

Leroo La Tau is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.  The lodge is built on cliffs with views over this shifting riverbed environment and offering a raised vantage point which ensures unsurpassed views of the river and the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to the east.

Accommodation & Facilities
The lodge comprises just 12 thatched and glass fronted, en-suite chalets each on raised wooden platforms.  The communal areas of Leroo La Tau consist of an inviting lounge and dining area, a bar and a swimming pool with large wooden decks.  A game viewing hide built into the bank of the river allows guests to enjoy the panoramic river vista. Sleepout on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans (15th July -31st October), an incredible experience offered to all guests staying more than three nights. Arrive in style on a “doors off” helicopter flight and bed down on the super comfy bedroll, with pillow and extra warm blanket as you fall asleep gazing up at the big starry night sky.

Wildlife & Activities
The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction.  Guests at Leroo La Tau can explore the area on guided day and night game drives and, depending on water levels of the Boteti River, boat activities can also be provided.  Cultural excursions can be arranged to Khumaga village, as well as guided nature walks in the surrounding area.
