Camp Moremi

Peeking out beneath giant ebony trees and a lush woodland canopy is Camp Moremi in the Xakanaxa area of the Moremi Game Reserve.  The reserve, located where the waters of the Okavango Delta give way to the vast plains of the Kalahari Desert, is a sanctuary of Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats, providing a home to abundant wildlife.

Accommodation & Facilities
Camp Moremi is an elegant, elevated thatch and timber lodge comprising a main sitting area, library, dining room and bar.  There is also a secluded swimming pool with a sundeck and a raised viewing platform providing stunning views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon which has a fireplace for cooler evenings.  There are 12 safari tents set under thatch on raised teak platforms, each with private decks and en-suite bathrooms, and spacious lounges.

Wildlife & Activities
The camp offers a range of activities on both land and water.  Morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4×4 vehicles offer frequent sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah, as well as wild dog. Guests can also explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by boat.
