Okavango Explorers Camp

Okavango Explorers Camp has a gorgeous water’s edge location on a lagoon at the eastern tip of the Okavango Delta, where it becomes the Selinda Spillway. As the only camp in the western end of the 130,000 hectare Selinda Reserve, guests have a huge amount of space to explore in real privacy.

Accommodation & Facilities
Okavango Explorers Camp has just six spacious safari tents with views of the lagoon, furnished in a traditional ‘campaign’ style, with en-suite bathrooms, fans, canopy mosquito nets, and lovely Persian rugs. The tents have shaded verandahs with comfortable chairs. The camp has a lovely mess tent with a lounge, bar and dining table. Meals are often eaten outside, where there is also a campfire and a small pool.

Wildlife & Activities
The Selinda reserve is superb wildlife habitat, and has up to 9,000 elephant in the dry season. Big herds of buffalo, prides of lion, plentiful leopard, hyena, and wild dog, and large numbers of giraffe are often seen, and rarities such as roan and sable antelope and eland are regularly found. The bird life is also excellent thanks to the varied habitats on offer and the presence of plenty of water. Safari activities at Okavango Explorers Camp include day and night drives in open vehicles, walking safaris, fishing between 1st March and 31st December, and canoeing.
