Savute Under Canvas

Savute Elephant Lodge is situated in the arid desert of the Kalahari Sandvelt in Botswana’s Chobe National Park. Rain is rare and water extremely precious in this area, and the dry Savute Channel abounds with some of Africa’s largest and most impressive creatures, including the elephant, which reigns supreme here.

Accommodation & Facilities
Savute Elephant Lodge has 12 luxurious tents with en-suite bathrooms, outside showers, heating and air-conditioning, a minibar and a plunge pool on the private viewing deck. The lodge has a large main building with a dining room, bar and lounge and separate a spa.

Wildlife & Activities
Wildlife viewing at Savute Elephant Lodge, particularly of elephant, is excellent with experienced guides taking guests close to herds of impala, giraffe and zebra in customised 4×4 vehicles on day time drives. There is the chance to visit early Bushman rock paintings, or alternatively guests can enjoy high quality birding from the camp’s purpose built decks.
