Shinde Camp

Shinde has a lovely position on the edge of a lagoon in a lush palm dotted area in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta. The camp is surrounded by clear waterways and wide expanses of grassland with numerous palm-fringed islands teeming with birdlife and wildlife.

Accommodation & Facilities
Built into a palm island, the camp consists of eight large safari tents, one of which has two bedrooms and is ideal for a family of up to five. The camp has a separate private Enclave with a regular double tent and a family tent with two bedrooms. The tents are on raised decks to give views across the lagoon and grassland, and have en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, and shaded verandahs at the front. The main lodge is multi-tiered with a bar, lounges, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a fire deck, all with views over the lagoon. A pool allows guests to stay cool in the warmer months.

Wildlife & Activities
The Shinde private concession has excellent wildlife populations, which include elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, zebra, wildebeest and kudu. The activities offered here include day and night wildlife drives, mokoro (local dug out canoe) trips, walking safaris, boat trips, and fishing from March to the end of December.
